About Artistic Lightscapes:

Jeffrey Prieboy started his lighting career in 1989 at Burgeson Construction, learning about the electrical trade and observing how recessed lighting enhanced attractive homes. After relocating to Florida in the early nineties, he entered the green industry.

While in school studying Landscape Architecture, he viewed his first landscape lighting seminar. He was amazed at the potential and possibilities lighting had to offer. Landscape lighting made quite an impression on Jeffrey. After graduating, he immediately embarked on a career with a leading distributor of outdoor lighting products. Excelling in this position brought him to South Carolina overseeing Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina markets. Giving countless seminars and consultations to contractors on lighting design, lighting engineering, and wiring design; Jeffrey has been involved in all aspects of the lighting industry.

Starting Artistic Lightscapes on June 1, 2004, Jeffrey began to take the landscape lighting industry to new levels. When asked why he decided to start his own venture he explained, “I was just tired of the contractors not getting it! They just couldn’t grasp it. They would have the design concepts down… then couldn’t wire it properly. Blow fuses, overload wire: you name it I saw it… But, of course, it was always the products that must be faulty. If they were fortunate enough to get technical part and engineer a quality lighting system, their designs were just plain awful with issues such as: hot spots, no rhythm, and visual distraction rather than visual artistry. I knew there was a need for a quality lighting company in the Carolinas.”

Artistic Lightscapes has been successful due to the ethics and quality standards demanded by Jeffrey Prieboy. He is the only Certified Landscape Lighting Designer, Certified Landscape Lighting Installer in the Carolinas. These certificates are through the International Academy of Architectural Landscape Lighting (the highest standards for outdoor lighting). Jeffrey pushes himself to achieve the most creative and unique concepts possible within the parameters of each individual job. His potential is limitless.
